Good arm, but watch how fast he gets out of there

This is why President Bush rarely gets in front of an audience he does not hand pick. I recorded it too, but this video is just from the item Think Progress posted.

Wow, really grabbing there. I heard lots more cheers than boos, guess it all depends on what you want to hear.

Sure, there are some noises that aren't boos, but as you agree, hammer, there _were_ boos. A president has to be really, really unpopular too get _any_ noticeable booing in that setting, especially after throwing with some zip behind it.

Spin it anyway you like, I heard more cheers than noise (boos).

Any republican president will get boos in large venues like this. Republicans don't boo, so you don't hear this for a dem. pres.

Yeah, sure. Ask Jimmy Carter. (Clinton retained 50-60% popularity all the way through.) Otherwise, it will be a while before we can test this theory. And I do think we'll be able to if it is a Democrat who takes office next year, as there will be rough times during which wingnuttia will delight in booing that Democrat.

Republicans are quite capable of enjoying a good booing. Take Clinton's State of the Union addresses, for example. Particularly 1995, where they not only booed, they got up and walked out.

Then in 2000, the rose-colored glasses were passed around and all was forgotten.
